Brides Secret Concerns With Wedding Videos
Over the years I've talked with hundreds of brides about
planning their weddings and whether or not to hire a videographer to document
the event. I've discovered their concerns center on two things.
First, will the video "catch all the good stuff"
in the ceremony?
- Will it include the entire ceremony, the vows, the exchanging of rings? What about the reception? Will the video include reception highlights like cake cutting, first dance, toast, bouquet toss and some of the partying?
The second major concern centers on the cost.
- Is a wedding video something we're going to be able to put in our budget and afford?

In about half of the weddings I've videotaped something will
happen that is off the script. In one wedding the groom and the best man
exchanged a fist bump just before the bride entered. It was unplanned, nobody
saw it coming, but because my video cameras were strategically placed, I was
the only one able to capture that moment.
Occasionally, during the ceremony the bride will laugh, or
chuckle, or just whisper I love you to her groom. Because the cameras are
rolling, because they are never turned off, because they are focused where the
important stuff is happening, I'm able to capture all of the action and all the
emotion of the event.
My background is in live television. When recording live
events you only get one chance to get it right. And I've discovered that the
key to guaranteeing coverage is preparation. As part of my service I include a
free complimentary consultation so that you, your grooming, and myself can sit
down and discuss everything that's important to you and exactly what you are
looking for in a wedding video. Before your wedding I will discuss the order of
the service. Back at the office I will decide which camera needs to focus on
what, so that everything is captured and documented. I want this video to
become a family heirloom.
- The answer to the first question, "Will all the good stuff be captured?" Is yes. In fact, to my knowledge I'm the only video producer in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area who guarantees in writing, that everything in the ceremony that is important to the bride will be captured.
The second major concern brides have about video production
is the expense. And believe me as the father of three daughters I understand
how important it is to keep to your wedding budget. The fact is, producing a
good quality wedding video isn’t cheap. And a cheaply produced wedding video
usually isn't…
Newlyweds Biggest Regret
Often capturing the event on video is the first thing to be
put aside if the budget gets too tight. Unfortunately a recent survey of
newlyweds shows that trying to save money on photography and video was the
biggest regret of newlyweds after the wedding.
Which is understandable. Because you can't go back and do it
again and after the cake and the roast beef are gone photographs and video are
permanent mementos to what is probably the biggest event in a woman's life.
- That's why I offer my services across a range of budgets. Not everybody's going to be able to afford my top package. I also offer a variety of payment options, which seem to be helpful to a lot of couples.
Call or e-mail today to ask about packages and availbilty.

Is this a reason not to marry a dance teacher?
There used to be a television show called 'eight is enough.' But at this wedding in England eight wouldn't even make a good start.
Katie Dalby, 26, is a dance teacher. so along with her best friend, three sisters-in-laws, a niece, and a cousin; she invited 74 of her dance students to participate in her wedding as bridesmaids.
And guess what, 80 bridesmaids is not even a record. you can read the entire story here.

Have you seen the "Ultimate Wedding Planning Checklist?"
Be sure to visit my website at WWW.Weddingstorytelling.com
Have a question, email me here.
I came across a pretty cool webpage that I wanted to share.
The site is called "Ultimate Wedding Planning Checklist."
Starting from 9 to 16 months before the wedding the page gives a checklist of details to look into and check off when completed. The list also provides links to questions that you may want to ask vendors and gives lots of hints and tips of things that should be checked on months before the wedding.
One of the suggestions they offer for the week of the wedding is for the bride and groom to break in their shoes. That's what I like about this list, it's the little things they make suggestions about that we may just overlook and not think about.
For now this is, Ron Calhoun, The Video Storyteller signing off.
Thanks for stopping by, if you have a question just email me here.

“Back-to-School” Is A Popular Theme for Fall Weddings
Adam & Calista, bless your heart. This bride are groom are getting married in the school house where they met.
It's August and kids are heading back to school. Of
course, kids aren't the only one who head back to school. As most of you know
my wife is a schoolteacher and she has been busy getting her room ready, and
attending meetings.
It so happens that “back-to-school” is a popular theme for
weddings this time of year.

You can find chalkboard wedding props, personalized papers,
and back-to-school themed invitations.
Do you have a special theme for your wedding?
